During the Advent season, we have meaningful worship services planned for Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, all centered around the the sermon series, "What Do You Fear? Insisting on Hope this Advent.
The series at a glance include these themes, 1) We long for God to break in; 2) When we are running out of hope, God is at work; 3) When you are afraid, give me your hand; 4) Good News is louder than fear; 5) Let fear fuel a fire for justice; 6) Fear doesn't stop us.
In the midst of the busyness of the holiday season, we pray you will make room for the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus. Worship is one of the most important ways we do this. It is also a wonderful time to invite family, friends and neighbors to experience the hope we share.

The Advent Series
We strongly believe that people are important to God and therefore are important to the church. Our core values are to show that same love, care, and kindness, friendliness, and patience that He does. Our desire is to help build families and relationships that are God-centered and God - influenced.
From Sunday morning worship and Sunday school to Bible studies, Gothenburg First United Methodist Church is focused on helping you to experience how God's love and grace can change your life.
